Fairport native Claudia Hoyser is picking up steam in the the country music spotlight.

Her latest live video of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishin’ In The Dark” went viral with 3.9 million views on her Facebook artist page. Typically, her weekly Facebook video releases are averaging about 400,000 plays per week but this one took on a life of it’s own and has been shared by over 20,000 pages including Duck Dynasty Fan Club.

On May 30, Hoyser will be singing the national anthem for the Los Angeles Dodgers when they host the Philadelphia Phillies at Dodger Stadium. In addition to that performance, Hoyser will be appearing live as a special guest on LA’s No. 1 rated iHeart TV Morning show, KTLA.

“It’s been a crazy ride,” said Hoyser. “In a nutshell — a few years ago I was introduced to a guy who is in the music business, from Webster, and things started happening fast. After a ton of hard work, I ended up in the Sony/Provident film ‘Wildflower,’ I’ve had two charting country radio singles and now a viral video. I graduated from Kent State with a bachelor’s in communications and always dreamed of being on stage full-time but really didn’t think that was possible!”

Hoyser’s third radio single will be released nationally on May 28, titled “Drinkin’ With The Boys.”
