The Electric Grill on the Rooftop of the Imaginarium, 500 Bakers Park, Irondequoit, is open for business, effective May 24.
The all electric cooking equipment includes a pizza oven, grill for I-Square’s burgers and fryer for fried pickles. Patrons of the Electric Grill can enjoy a cold craft beer or wine with their meal.
As part of the Imaginarium Art & Science Center’s “Net-Zero” goal, this kitchen is powered by two Bergey small wind turbines, 92 solar panels and an Eco Gym with 17 spinning bikes.
This is the second Rooftop space at I-Square in Irondequoit. The first building that includes the Market at I-Square has a Rooftop garden as well, which has become a place to enjoy the sunsets or free Saturday Concert Series held at the outdoor stage below.
“The Electric Grill provides another reason to make I-Square a destination place, we are very excited to bring this unique space to Irondequoit,” said Mike Nolan, owner of I-Square.
The hours of the Electric Grill are from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
