Bach to Rock Music School, 2160 Penfield Road, Penfield, will hold an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. on June 2.
Attendees are welcome to tour the school, try a demo music lesson or classes, learn about programs, enter for a chance to win prizes, check out the recording studio, enjoy refreshments and meet the teachers.
Bach to Rock Penfield is a locally owned music school offering lessons in all instruments, all genres and all ages. In the newly-built 3,500-square-foot facility, there are six private lesson rooms, three band rooms, a performance room with a stage, a state of the art DJ room with seven DJ consoles equipped with the latest DJ and music production software, a recording studio and control room and early childhood rooms. Bach to Rock’s music instructors are qualified and trained from universities including Eastman, Berkeley, Belmont, Westminster and Nazareth. All are multi-instrumentalists from violin to voice, guitar to glockenspiel and drums to DJ scratching and mixing. Four instructors are professionally trained and certified audio engineers who operate the digital recording studio and teach recording arts and music production.
Bach to Rock Penfield provides a well-balanced music education including music theory, technique and repertoire aligned with the genre interests and pace of the student. Bach to Rock Penfield offers various programs for students of all ages including: individual lessons; group classes, early childhood programs such as the Rock City program for preschoolers, rock ‘n’ roll program for toddlers; Kids-n-Keys for children in grades K-2; along with summer camps and birthday parties.
The school provides opportunities for students to join bands, ensembles and glee clubs and coach them as a collaborative team. The school also organizes opportunities for students to perform in the community at various events, including PTA events, library events and various community events such as Lollypop Farm’s Pig-A-Palooza Family Day. Students have access to an online dashboard MyB2R, the only digital service of its kind in the music school industry, providing the ability to track student progress, schedule lessons, obtain homework and stream over 400 pre-recorded songs to practice at home.
