Patti’s Pantry and local author J.A. Goodman work together in the newest “Emma Mason Mystery” novel, “Legal Justice.”
Goodman’s third novel in the series follows Rochester homicide detectives Emma Mason and Mitch Delaney. In “Legal Justice,” Delaney discovers Patti’s Pantry on Dewey Avenue.
Mason turns over the reins to Delaney while she recovers from injuries she received on the job at Rochester Police Department. As she heals in her boyfriend’s home off East Avenue, she uncovers a 150-year-old skeleton with links to the Underground Railroad and abolitionist Frederick Douglass.
Mason works to solve this cold case, as Delaney attempts to untangle the murder of a World War II veteran.
Delaney’s investigation uncovers a burglary ring, money laundering, bank fraud and murder. He uses every resource at his disposal to solve this case, giving readers a glimpse of crime solving techniques.
