He is accused of shooting Grimes inside the home before dragging her outside and leaving her body in the driveway.

The teenager accused of fatally shooting his girlfriend earlier this month has been indicted by a grand jury.

Jermaine Brown, 17, faces charges of second-degree manslaughter, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and aggravated criminal contempt.

Brown allegedly shot 18-year-old Ciara Grimes to death on May 9 at a friend's house on Delamaine Drive in Rochester. He is accused of shooting Grimes inside the home before dragging her outside and leaving her body in the driveway.

Investigators charged Brown with criminal contempt because they said at the time of the shooting he was violating an order of protection issued for the victim on May 5.
