Fathers and grandfathers will receive free admission when accompanied by youth ages 3-12 on June 17 at New York Museum of Transportation, 6393 E. River Road, West Henrietta.
The museum’s model railroad is in operation. Visitors can climb into the cab of a steam locomotive and ring the bell in a trolley car.
Highway and horse-drawn vehicles, models, photos and smaller artifacts bring transportation history to life. The gallery features a short film depicting the Rochester Subway.
Trolley operations are on hold while the museum repairs storm damage. Admission is $4 for adults and seniors, $3 for ages 3-12. Museum hours are from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
