Dinolfo called for a review of "FAR" after the murder of a young boy in Sweden back in April, allegedly by his mother.

Monroe County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo is ordering the termination of the use of the Family Assessment Response Program also known as "FAR."

It's an intervention with a family but not a full-on CPS investigation.

Dinolfo called for a review of "FAR" after the murder of a young boy in Sweden back in April, allegedly by his mother.

Dinolfo released the report Thursday, and recommended the county's Department of Human Services terminate "FAR."

She's confident local children and families will be best served by the county's CPS workers working as one team moving forward.
