Great Place to Work and Fortune magazine recently included ESL Federal Credit Union in Rochester among the 100 Best Workplaces for millennials.
ESL ranked No. 27 on a list that includes small-, medium- and large-sized companies. Other local organizations included on the list are Wegmans, Navy Federal Credit Union, CarMax and USAA.
ESL earned its ranking based on how positively millennials rated organizations on different metrics defining great workplaces, such as managers’ competence, respect and fairness in the workplace, opportunities for meaningful work and great colleagues. ESL exceeded benchmarks for comparably-sized organizations striving to create a great workplace.
“We’re delighted to once again be named a Great Place to Work for millennials,” said Faheem Masood, president and CEO. “As our millennial employees continue to grow in departments throughout our organization, it is important that we ensure ESL is providing them with an environment in which to cultivate and enrich their professional careers.”
Best Workplaces for millennials is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based on employee survey feedback from Great Place to Work-certified organizations.
“Great Place to Work is proud of these best workplaces that give their millennial employees the tools they need to succeed,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “Organizations like ESL Federal Credit Union set the bar for other workplaces seeking to retain and develop the next generation of leaders, and prove that giving millennials jobs with purpose and meaning drives them to give their best at work, benefiting the company as a whole.”
