The Zoghlin Group PLLC recently hired Maggie Kolcon, of Rochester, as a summer law clerk and Anisa Noor, of Sacramento, California, as an administrative assistant.
Kolcon comes to the legal firm with experience from two previous internships.
“Maggie’s sharp mind and superb writing skills can be applied to many different tasks,” said Mindy Zoghlin, principal. “We are thrilled to spend the summer with her.
She plans to pursue her Juris Doctor this fall at Penn State Law in University Park, Pennsylvania. Kolcon earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Michigan.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to gain exposure to environmental law as I prepare to attend law school,” Kolcon said. “I’m lucky to have wonderful mentors in all of the attorneys at The Zoghlin Group.”
Noor attended Sacramento City College. She earned her legal assistant certificate from MTI College, also in Sacramento.
“We are delighted to welcome Anisa as part of our team,” Zoghlin said. “She is smart, dedicated and a pleasure to work with.”
Noor said her position is “an exciting beginning to a long journey.”
“The road to becoming a successful single mom isn’t an easy one,” she said. “Having strong and great women as role models really helps me see my dreams as a reality. I look forward to learning as much as I can from the attorneys and legal assistants at The Zoghlin Group. I’m excited to watch them work and learn how to be taken seriously and get my point across.”
Noor said that Rochester “is not as sunny as California, but it sure is beautiful.”
“I had never seen a waterfall until I moved here,” she said.
