Investigators believe he was trying to flee the country.

A man has been indicted for second degree murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend according to Monroe County prosecutors.

Gates Police say 54-year-old Roger Lee Wiggins stabbed 51-year-old Tracy Henton-Williams in the chest and neck with a knife while she was in the passenger seat of his Jeep Liberty. After she was stabbed, Henton-Williams either fell or was pushed from the moving vehicle.

Wiggins was taken into custody at the Canadian border after a border patrol officer noticed he was acting strange and nervous.
