The website 24/7 Wall Street looked at the 50 cities with the largest decline in population as a result of migration between 2010 and 2017.
They used data from the U.S. Census Bureau to come up with the list.
Rochester was 16th, having lost nearly 16,000 people over that seven-year period.
In fact, five metro areas in New York state are on the list.
