My Sister’s Gallery at The Episcopal Church Home, 505 Mount Hope Ave., Rochester, will exhibit “Blooming World,” a display of oil paintings by Greece artist Tatyana Bletsko, on Aug. 20-Sept. 30.
An opening reception is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 22.
Bletsko’s passion for art started in her childhood with loves for music and drawing. She took art classes after high school to satisfy this passion. Her education includes an engineer-designer degree and a master’s degree in art from the University of Moscow. Bletsko continued her passion in a small business by painting jewelry boxes.
She joined Rochester Art Group in 2013, and prefers to work in oil. Bletsko’s art centers around flowers, nature and the work of God. She said she wants to capture the way the light and shadow interact with color to reveal a hidden beauty, as well as the interaction of the colors with each other.
The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and is wheelchair-accessible. Admission is free.
