The Open Door Mission is celebrating the beginning of another service for homeless families in the Rochester area.

Wednesday was the ribbon cutting for the Coldwater House for women and children.

It's the newest facility to provide transitional housing and support services to homeless mothers and their children.

"To have my children and I in the same facility...you can feel the home, the homeliness in it," said Felisha Howell, resident at the Coldwater House.

The Open Door Mission has plans for an empowering environment to get families back on their feet and stay there by giving them the tools they need to succeed.
