The car hit a tree at the intersection of Silver and Kensington Street.

A man is in some serious trouble after police say he crashed his car and then left his passenger knocked out in the back seat.

The car hit a tree at the intersection of Silver and Kensington Street in Rochester around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

A 30-year old man in the backseat was found unconscious but woke up shortly after. He was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.

Officers say the 21-year-old driver and another passenger ran away from the scene, but they were found a short time later on Tremont Street.

The driver was also taken to the hospital. He's expected to face charges.
