Webster Central School District announced that Martha End accepted the position as the new principal for Klem Road South Elementary School.
End previously served as the house principal for grades four through five at Canandaigua City School District’s Primary-Elementary School. She will be taking over for Erin Land, who was named WCSD’s director of elementary education in winter 2018.
End served in her role at Canandaigua Primary-Elementary School since 2016, a school with about 1,600 students in three houses. In this leadership role, she was integrally involved in developing instructional systems that provided excellent student outcomes, implemented proactive behavior support programs and positively impacted the school culture through her innate ability to personally connect with students, families and staff. Prior to her work at Canandaigua school district, End was the primary and elementary summer school coordinator for Brighton Central School District. She began her career as an elementary teacher at Brighton school district, where her service was highlighted by the introduction of 1-to-1 technology use at French Road Elementary School and co-chairing that school’s technology committee.
A graduate of St. John Fisher College, End earned her master’s degree from the University of Rochester. She received her certifications of advanced study in education administration, school building leader and school district leader from SUNY Brockport.
End lives in Fairport with her husband, Jim Guzielek, a teacher at Greece Odyssey High School.
“I greatly anticipate working with everyone at Klem South,” said End. “I believe that building partnerships with families is of critical importance to my daily work and my beliefs as an administrator and educator.”
