Cobblestone Arts Center names Student of the Month

Kara Atkins, 32, of Newark, is the Student of the Month for September 2018 at Cobblestone Arts Center in Farmington.

Atkins started going to Cobblestone in 2007 after she graduated from Newark High School. She lives with her mother and three cats: Garfield, Odie and Sweet Pea. In her free time, Atkins said she likes walking in her neighborhood to visit local shops, movies, coloring books and shopping at the mall.

Atkins participates in the Without Walls program at Cobblestone. She and other students go shopping, and visit art galleries, museums, parks and libraries.


Dixon Schwabl promotes Rochester resident

Dixon Schwabl, an advertising, marketing and public relations agency in Victor, recently promoted Arica Marfoglia, of Rochester, to senior digital media manager.

Marfoglia will serve as media lead for assigned clients, creating holistic digital media strategy including programmatic, online video, search and paid social. She will be responsible for leading measurement planning and reporting for digital media clients. Marfoglia will participate in new business presentations and serve as an internal expert for digital media.

She has nearly 15 years of experience in the advertising industry. Marfoglia joined Dixon Schwabl in 2015 as digital media manager. She previously worked at Gelia-Media Inc. as an online media specialist/search engine marketing specialist.

Marfoglia earned her Bachelor of Arts in communication from SUNY Oswego and became a Google-certified AdWords professional in 2008.
