She is expected to return to Rochester City Court on September 20.

A pregnant Rochester woman has been arrested for driving while intoxicated on Sunday.

Police say Lashaunte McKnight, 26, of Rochester was observed vomiting out the driver's side window at approximately 9:45 p.m. on State Street.

McKnight fled from police stating that she was unaware that police were trying to stop her and that she was ill due to her pregnancy.

She continued to tell police that she had been coming from a Clinton Avenue bar.

McKnight was arrested for a DWI and criminal possession of a controlled substance as police found McKnight to be in possession of cocaine during a subsequent search of her vehicle.

McKnight was transported to the State Police barracks in Rochester where she refused to submit to a chemical test. She was released to a third party with an appearance ticket.

She is expected to return to Rochester City Court on September 20.
