Nearly 500 employees will be impacted by the closures of underperforming Tops stores in New York state, including more than 275 workers at five Rochester-area stores, according to a WARN notice.

- 710 Lake Ave., Rochester (64 affected employees)

- 175 N. Winton Rd., Rochester (64 affected employees)

- 6720 Pittsford/Palmyra Rd., Fairport (70 affected employees)

- 381 Hamilton St., Geneva (79 affected employees)

The store location in Lyons is also slated to close; the number of affected employees unknown.

Last week, Rochester neighborhood leaders and customers expressed their concerns over the announcement that the supermarket chain would be closing 10 underperforming stores.
