Image City Photography Gallery, 722 University Ave., Rochester, is exhibiting “SNAFU” by featured artist John Kosboth, JFK/AJVK through Sept. 30.
The gallery, located in Neighborhood of the Arts, will hold an opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 7. Image City is open from noon to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays-Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
“SNAFU” is a range of visual experiences that suggest who Kosboth was and where he has been, but not who he is. Other images consider city and country environments, culture and accepted reality, and emotional reactions to city and country gun culture. Kosboth challenges viewers regarding the concept of portraiture.
Other exhibiting artists include Paul English in the Neuberger Gallery; visiting artist Chip Evra; guest artists Jim Dusen, Larry Eldridge, Nancy Ridenour and John Retailack; Camera Rochester members; artists-in-residence; and gallery partners.
Admission is free. The gallery is handicapped-accessible. Visit bit.ly/2LvOVm7 for information.
