A Rochester man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of his 9-month-old daughter back in January.
Charlie Richmond, 24, was taken into custody Wednesday following an extensive investigation into the death of Arabella Richmond, who was found unresponsive when officers arrived at a home on Culver Road on Jan. 1.
The infant was transferred to URMC where she died two days later.
On Aug. 8, the medical examiner's office ruled her death a homicide caused by blunt force trauma to the head. Police say an investigation into the circumstances of her death has been ongoing since the initial call on New Year's Day, and that the investigation concluded Wednesday when her father was arrested.
Charlie Richmond has been charged with manslaughter in the first degree.
Investigators say additional charges may be presented to the grand jury.
