Rochester celebrates a hometown filmmaker's mark on the big screen. Mike Critelli graduated from Bishop Kearny in 1966.

Critelli was at the Little Theatre for a viewing of his film, From the Rough on Saturday night.

The film is based on a true story, led by Golden Globe award-winning actress Taraji P. Henson as Catana Starks.

Starks made history as the first woman, and the first African American woman, to coach a men's college golf team. Other notable cast members include Tom Felton and the late Michael Clarke Duncan.

The film debuted in 2013.
