Police are investigating after someone vandalized 35 school buses in Rochester.

The vandalism at the First Student bus garage on East Main Street caused some students to be late for class Monday morning.

The damage occurred sometime over the weekend but wasn't discovered until 4:30 a.m. Monday morning. District officials tell Messenger Post's news partner, News10NBC fire extinguishers were released inside some of the buses, creating a mess.

Schools impacted by the late buses are School No. 2, 9, 17, 20, 33, Charter School of Rochester, and Rochester Academy.

The buses were delayed by 10-30 minutes.
