The second annual Rochester Bloody Mary Fest will run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 18 at Rochester Armory, 900 E. Main St.
This year’s event will offer 14 bloody marys for attendees to sample before voting for their favorites. Local bars and restaurants will vie for Rochester’s Best Bloody Mary and Best Garnished Bloody Mary awards. Mix companies will compete for the title of Best Bloody Mary Mix.
Each attendee will get a sheet of 14 tasting tickets to try bloody mary samples from 10 local bars and four mix companies. The bar and restaurant bloody marys will be made with vodka from Buffalo’s Tommyrotter Distillery.
The event also will feature local vendors, music, entertainment, a cash bar and food for purchase from the Armory.
This year’s competitors are Bitter Honey, Brown Hound Downtown, Buffalo Betty Bloody Mary Mix, Devil Daves Bloody Mary Sticks, Finger Lakes Harvest’s Shrubby Mary, Grappa, Lento Restaurant, The Murph’s Famous Bloody Mary Mix, Napa Wood Fired Pizzeria & Bistro, Peerless Events of Rochester & Butapub, The Hideaway, The Honeoye Boat House Grille, The Revelry and The Daily Refresher.
