Statement from the Workers' Center of Central NY: "We are very saddened by the Wayne County sheriff's news about remains found at the Joy Road Farm in Marion, NY consistent with a baby the age of little Owen Hidalgo."

The body of the Sodus toddler who has been missing since May, has been found.

A statement from the Workers' Center of Central NY confirmed that the remains of one-year-old Owen Hidalgo-Calderon have been found.

The statement in it's entirety is as follows:

"We are very saddened by the Wayne County sheriff's news about remains found at the Joy Road Farm in Marion, NY consistent with a baby the age of little Owen Hidalgo.

Since little Owen's disappearance we have been holding hope that he would be found safe and return to his loving family. Just yesterday, October 15, family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of Selena, on what would have been her 19th birthday. It is heartbreaking to realize that her little one is also gone.

Owen Hidalgo-Calderon and his 18-year-old mother Selena Hidalgo-Calderon, went missing back in May. The two were last seen on a Sodus farm off of Joy Road where Selena worked.

Owen was only 14 months old at the time.

A week after the two vanished, deputies found Selena's body buried on the farm.

At that point, hundreds of officials searched the farm and surrounding areas for 12 consecutive days for young Owen before suspending the search.

Wayne County Sheriff Virts said his team would not stop looking for the missing toddler, but said crews are just spinning their wheels searching an area that experts have determined has a 90-percent probability rating of not being the site where the boy is.

Meanwhile, on May 24, the boyfriend of Selena, Alberto Ebarado Gutierrez-Reyes, was arrested by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on tampering charges related to the missing person case of Selena Hidalgo-Calderon and her son, Owen.

Reyes admitted to having buried Selena, but did not admit to killing her. He is scheduled to appear in Wayne County Court Thursday at 9:30 a.m. He is being held in the Wayne County Jail on $25,000 bail.

As of right now, the only charge he's facing in Wayne County is tampering with evidence.

However, Reyes is also being federally charged for illegally re-entering the country using counterfeit documents.

According to a release from the United States Department of Justice, Everado Donoteo-Reyes AKA Alberto Ebarado Gutierrez-Reyes, has been charged with "possession of a counterfeit social security card and alien registration card, and illegal re-entry after deportation."

Those charges each carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Selena's mother and little Owen's grandmother, Estela Calderon, left the following statement:

"Selena came to my life an October 15, 1999 to bring happiness to my life and she was taken from us leaving a whole in my heart. My heart is broken because I know my little Owen is also gone but I know they are together. Both of them are my guardian angels to give me hope and healing so I keep going for my children. I know Selena is in God's glory because she was a great daughter, sister and friend and Owen is an innocent soul. I ask for justice for my daughter and grandson. I don't ever want anyone to experience this immeasurable pain."
