Seneca Park Zoo Society’s annual Halloween fundraiser, ZooBoo, is running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in October.
ZooBoo features activities for all ages. Each attendee receives an adventure map that leads to stations set up around the newly expanded Seneca Park Zoo, 2222 St. Paul St., Rochester.
Attendees can learn about animals at the zoo through Halloween crafts, games and face painting. Costume contests are held each day at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The fundraiser includes Halloween-themed animal enrichment experiences, the Conservation Graveyard and costumed characters.
Tickets for zoo members cost $6.50 in advance, $7.50 at the door. The general public pays general admission plus $8.50 per adventurer, or $7.50 in advance.
A portion of each ZooBoo ticket goes to Health in Harmony, which focuses on orangutan conservation. Since 2014, ZooBoo participants have helped the zoo grant more than $9,000 to international efforts to save orangutans in Borneo.
ZooBoo is held rain or shine. Ticket sales are not refundable or transferable. Visit for information.
