We know our Irondequoit property and school taxes are high perhaps the highest in Monroe County. If there is a way to reduce our taxes without jeopardizing town or school services, why shouldn’t we accept it?
Ms, Short’s letter to the editor — The Post, Oct. 25, 2018 — pinpoints this out, exactly.
Since we live in one town, we should merge the East and West school districts into one
Irondequoit School District under the supervision of a single administration.
By doing so, we eliminate a superfluous level of government along with its financial burden
upon the residents of Irondequoit.
Supervisor Seeley, Sen. Funke are you listening?
