Local residents join Mengel Metzger Barr & Co.

Stephanie Licciardello, of Spencerport, and Diane Little, of Brockport, recently joined Mengel Metzger Barr & Co. LLP as a staff accountant and an administrative project associate, respectively.

Licciardello’s will be responsible for assurance projects and governmental initiatives. She holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from The College at Brockport.

Little will manage the firm’s ongoing transition to automated delivery, tracking and receipt of tax returns, and work on employee training and compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.


Wheatland-Chili students join National Honor Society

Wheatland-Chili High School recently held a National Honor Society induction ceremony.

Fifteen students joined the Thomas J. Connor Chapter of NHS: Sarah Allen, Kristi Ames, Lindsey Clar, Eboni Colangelo, Jake Franklin, Jenna LaMere, Skylar Limner, Olivia Murray, Laney Nicosia, Brittney Pfenninger, Zoe Schmieder, Ryley St. Rose-Finear, Kevin Wehle, Allison Wing and Olivia Youmans.


Ridge Road firefighters complete supervisor training

Lts. Joseph Muniz and Christopher Williams from the Ridge Road Fire District recently graduated from the First Line Supervisor Training program as part of their required state fire officer training.

Muniz and Williams were promoted from their positions as firefighters to lieutenants last spring, and were sent to the supervisor training in New York City at the NYC Fire Department’s Fort Totten officer development training facility.

The monthlong program covers topics such as fire officer, fire instruction, building construction, leadership, fire investigation and arson awareness, company training, and tactical decision-making, and equates to more than 160 hours of training for each member.
