North Rose-Wolcott High School students and their families recently learned how to prepare for life after graduation during the annual college and career night.
The event featured sessions on college searches and applications, preparing ninth- and 10th-graders for college, financial aid, career decisions, community college and transfer opportunities, and the SAT and ACT.
Representatives from universities and learning organizations visited the high school to discuss post-secondary options. Counselors were available to answer questions about financing college.
“We’re very fortunate to have these presenters take the time to come out here,” Principal Brian Read said. “We hope that all of the students and the families learned a lot from them.”
Although college preparations typically don’t start until junior year, all high school students were encouraged to attend the free event.
