The Finger Lakes Region will receive $86.5 million in state aid to fund projects through the Regional Economic Development Council Competition.

The funding will support 141 projects in the area including $1.9 million in funding for a sweet corn processing plant at Mason Farms in Williamson. Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES will receive $208,900 for equipment to help train students in high-demand, well-paying jobs in manufacture and information technology. The Rochester Institute of Technology will receive $1.5 million to renovate and upgrade its Genomics Research Lab Cluster.
