Assemblyman Harry Bronson, D-Rochester, will be Assembly liaison on the council

Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council has appointed Assemblyman Harry Bronson, D-Rochester as its Assembly liaison. Bronson represents the 138th district that covers the city of Rochester and towns of Henrietta and Chili.

The Regional Economic Development Councils are public-private partnerships made up of local experts and stakeholders from business, academia, local government, and non-governmental organizations. “Since 2011, the Finger Lakes REDC has been awarded over $570 million for more than 700 projects,” according to a release.

Council Co-chair Bob Duffy, Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, stated that Bronson “has a long history in our community of advocacy, workforce development, business, and leadership.

“As a member of the Assembly majority, Harry is a welcome addition to work alongside our region’s business, academic, and community leaders to help forge a path forward. I have great faith in the value he brings to our team.”
