Roberts Wesleyan College launched its Corporate Partnership program in 2017 and has signed on 40 organizations to date.
The college recently announced partnerships with Arc of Monroe; Claims Recovery Financial Services; Greece, Pittsford, Penfield and Rochester school districts; Lewis County Health System; the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office; St. John’s Health Care Corp.; and Summit Federal Credit Union.
“We are extremely excited and proud to have partnered with the Roberts Wesleyan College Corporate Partnership program,” said Harry Kennedy, chief of human resources for the Rochester City School District. “Not only does this program allow us to provide educational opportunities for all 6,000-plus employees, their spouses and families, but it also serves as a helpful recruitment tool as we continue to seek the best candidates from around the country to be a part of our urban district. We look forward to success with this program and a long-standing partnership in the years to come.”
Other educational partnership agreements are with Canandaigua National Bank, Catholic Charities, CDS Life Transitions, Dixon Schwabl, East Irondequoit Central School District, Episcopal SeniorLife Communities, Erie County Medical Center, Excellus Health Plan Inc., Genesee Valley Chapter SHRM, Hillside Family of Agencies, HCR Home Care, Heritage Christian Services, Hurlbut Care Communities, Jewish Senior Life, Kirkhaven Transitional Care, LaBella Associates, Lifetime Assistance Inc., Mary Cariola Children’s Center, MedAmerica/Vituity, Monroe 2 Orleans BOCES, Newton Medical Center in Kansas, Palmer Food Services, Paychex, Regional Transit Service, Rochester Regional Health, St. Ann’s Community, Tompkins Financial Advisors, Villa of Hope, Webster Central School District and YMCA of Greater Rochester.
“When we launched this program two years ago, our goal was to provide affordable and accessible educational opportunities to local businesses and their families,” President Deana Porterfield said. “We’re elated with the community response so far and are excited to add 10 more corporate partners to the program. Their commitment to supporting their team members in furthering their education will help strengthen our regional workforce, prepare students with the skills necessary to thrive in their careers and foster valuable connections within our community.”
With this partnership, qualifying employees will receive a 25 percent discount that can be combined with corporate tuition-assistance programs; accelerated, part- and full-time classroom and online options; experience and mentorship with faculty; and 60-plus undergraduate majors, 15 graduate programs and four bachelor’s completion programs.
