Ravenwood Golf Club set the scene for the annual Evening of Great Tastes, a fundraiser organized by the Kiwanis Club of Farmington-Victor.
Attendees sampled offerings from area restaurants, vineyards, breweries and distilleries, including Iron Smoke Distillery, Three Brothers Wineries and Estates, Rohrbach Brewing Co., Gourmet Goodies and Zugibe Vineyards.
Proceeds from ticket sales, raffles and auctions fund programs supported by the club, including scholarships at Victor High School; food baskets with the Victor Farmington Food Cupboard; school supplies, snacks and shoes for kids through The Spot in Canandaigua; palliative care at Serenity House in Victor; Ontario County Relay For Life; and youth programs in the town of Farmington.
“This event gives us a chance to reach out to people and businesses, make an impression on them with the work we do to help people in our communities, feed them great food, and help increase exposure for our amazing local restaurants, shops and beverage providers,” said Barb Years, chairperson of the Evening of Great Tastes Committee.
“We are very fortunate and grateful to have had so many amazing vendors and raffle donors at this year’s event, and equally grateful for all of the people in our area that came out to support our mission of making the lives of kids in our community better, one child at a time,” said Dave Plante, club president.
