The Corn Hill Neighbors Association will host its 51st annual Corn Hill Arts Festival on July 13-14.
Festival organizers are looking to the next 50 years with renewed energy on original art. The slogan — “Come for the Art, Stay for It All!” — articulates the range of experiences offered during the event.
“This festival has been a favorite summer event in the Rochester community since 1969 and it has been truly incredible to watch it grow throughout the years,” said Bill Kelly, chairperson of this year’s event. “The goal of the festival has always been to showcase original arts and crafts, exposing the community to a wide array of talent and supporting the artists.”
The festival will feature over 350 artists with various creations across nine historic streets. Visitors can stop by four music stages with 27 free performances, food trucks, beer and wine gardens, and a family fun area with the Fairy Houses Tour and Stokoe Farms Express Train.
“Every summer, the Corn Hill Neighbors Association does a wonderful job of bringing Rochester together to celebrate its vibrant arts community,” said Faheem Masood, president and CEO of ESL Federal Credit Union, which sponsors the festival. “It’s inspiring and uplifting to see thousands of residents exploring the city’s oldest residential neighborhood, while also supporting the hundreds of artisans lining the streets.”
Funds raised through sponsorships, vendors and exhibitors are disbursed for community needs, including the protection and promotion of the historical character and beauty of the area.
