Training magazine included ESL Federal Credit Union among its Training Top 125 for 2019, the 13th consecutive year for the locally owned financial institution.
ESL ranked 17th on the list, which features Best Buy, CarMax, Edward Jones, Paychex and ConServe. Top 125 companies were measured on several factors, including training tied to business objectives, number of trainers, employee turnover and retention, leadership development, tuition assistance, and training technology and infrastructure.

ESL reports a 10 percent turnover rate, which it attributes to the growth and development opportunities available to all employees. In 2018, 72 percent of jobs were filled from within and 73 percent of leadership positions were filled internally.
ESL employees can further their skill sets through coursework covering leadership development, diversity and inclusion, mentoring, and Microsoft Office. Employees also can receive up to $5,250 of tuition aid each year for undergraduate or graduate coursework.
