Ahrens Benefits Co., 2800 Dewey Ave., Rochester, will receive the Business in the Spotlight Award from the Gates Chili Chamber of Commerce on March 19.
The award recognizes the company’s contribution to the economic vibrancy of the community, community involvement, special achievements, growth and success, and job creation.
The Gates Chili Chamber presents this quarterly award after an in-depth nomination, interview and judging process. Companies are critiqued on several levels, including contribution to the local economy and community, success, longevity, growth of the company, and unique approach to the industry.

Jane and her employees assist small- to medium-size businesses, as well as individuals, in selecting a health insurance plan or Medicare program that is best for them.”
Ahrens Benefits Co. is a state-certified exchange broker that can help groups and individuals enroll in health care plans, on and off the exchange.
The lunch meeting will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Legacy at Parklands, 2000 Park Creek Lane, Churchville. The Chamber will host a panel of cybersecurity experts to examine the latest in information technology security, breaches, net neutrality and protection. Tickets cost $20 for members, $25 for non-members.
