Adult programs
AARP Drivers’ Safety Class ‚ two-day course: 1 to 4 p.m. on Feb. 28 and March 1. The cost for the program is $20 for AARP members, $25 for nonmembers, payable at the class. Make checks payable to AARP. No cash. Also, to be eligible for insurance discount and/or DMV point reduction, bring a driver’s license. This is a two-part class; registration required.
Teen programs
Practice SAT: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 2. Grades 10-12. Sponsored by Chariot Learning. Take an official full-length practice SAT, except for the essay, proctored like the real thing. After the test, students will receive help scoring the multiple choice portions of the test to learn their scaled scores and percentiles. Participation is free. All tests begin promptly at scheduled times with no admittance after the exam has begun. Students should bring pencils, snacks, watches, and calculators. Chariot Learning always administers the exams from the most recent SAT student bulletin. Students who have taken that test should contact Chariot Learning to discuss other options.
