HUNT Real Estate ERA recently named Charles “Chip” Murphy as regional vice president for Rochester.
Murphy joined HUNT in April 2016 with a background in real estate, and an education in business and law. At that time, he was hired to supervise branch office locations in Greece, Hornell and Alfred. Murphy broadened his leadership role to cover 150 real estate sales professionals in five branch locations.
Murphy will work with Peter Hunt, chairman and CEO of HUNT Real Estate.
“Chip brings a marvelous combination of education, training, demonstrated skill in the marketplace and leadership qualities to his new position,” Hunt said. “He will also bring his youth and contemporary approach to our organization, now in its 108th year.”
Murphy was involved in the design and implementation of the company’s revitalized career development program.
In his new role, Murphy will be responsible for leading the region to model region status, which involves a set of metrics designed to underscore professional achievement and productivity.
“It’s an honor to be named the regional VP at HUNT at a time when this widely recognized brand is experiencing tremendous growth,” Murphy said. “I look forward to further developing our dedicated professionals and adding new, energetic talent to our team, while seeking new ways to provide the highest level of service to our customers and clients.”
Murphy previously represented buyers and sellers in residential, vacant land and commercial transactions. He is on the advisory board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester and a committee member for the Realtors Charitable Foundation.
