Board members of the Ontario County Humane Society will respond to recent concerns raised about its operations and animal shelter.

A Canandaigua City Council committee will hear from board members of the Ontario County Humane Society at a meeting tonight. The meeting of the city’s Environmental/ Parks Committee will take place at 7 p.m. at the Hurley Building, at 205 Saltonstall St.

The city is part of an inter- municipal agreement renewed annually with Ontario County that contracts countywide dog control services from the Ontario County Humane Society. The OCHS is a nonprofit governed by a board of directors. Board members were invited to tonight’s meeting to respond to concerns raised about operations at the humane society and its Happy Tails Animal Shelter.

Other items on the agenda include a proposed project by a local Girl Scout and proposed stormwater management program.
