Community Arts Day will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6 at Webster Schroeder High School, 875 Ridge Road.
This annual PTSA sponsored event, in its 43rd year, showcases the musical and artistic talents of students in grades K-12 in the Webster community.
There will be Webster student group musical performances throughout the day, as well as a Staff Showcase and The Webster’s Got Talent talent show featuring aspiring student singers, musicians and dancers from 2 to 3 p.m. Community performing groups will fill out the schedule of events. Performance bouquets will be available for sale to celebrate student performers. In addition to musical performances, student artwork from grades K-12 will be on display throughout the event space.
The YMCA Kids Carnival sponsored by the Bay View Family YMCA will feature games and prizes, bounce houses and an inflatable obstacle course. A children’s craft area will feature sand and candy art, face painting and nail art.
There will be information booths including the Webster Public Library, Webster Museum, Webster Marching Band, Webster Fire Department and various other local exhibitors.
Breakfast and lunch, served 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., as well as snacks, can be purchased throughout the day in the cafeteria area. The cafe breakfast menu features muffins, bagels, doughnuts and coffee. Lunch items include hotdogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, Zweigles Italian sausages, pizza, mac salad, tater tots, fruit kabobs, fried dough and nachos. The lunch counter will accept credit cards. Water, soft drinks, iced tea, assorted snacks and hot, fresh popcorn will also be for sale at the cafe; and bakery-made pastries, cookies, brownies, and more sweets can be purchased at the Sweet Treats Sale by the front doors.
