Partners + Napier recently won 35 of 79 awards given at the Rochester Advertising Federation’s annual American Advertising Awards, including best of show for its event activation work for Xerox.
The Rochester competition ladders up to the American Advertising Awards, one of the industry’s largest creative competitions that attracts nearly 35,000 entries from across the U.S. each year.
“We’ve always believed that better creative leads to better results for our clients,” CEO Sharon Napier said. “To win best of show as we celebrate our 15th year in business, closing out our biggest growth year to date, makes us extremely proud.”
The agency earned this top honor for its Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival event activation, which used augmented reality and touch-sensitive posters to allow attendees to compose music in their favorite genres.
Partners + Napier also claimed top prizes in four out of six “best of” categories: digital and social, print, public service, and video and broadcast.
The firm’s The Vote Needs U campaign, a grassroots project to increase voter participation in the 2018 midterm elections, scored 11 of the agency’s wins — the highest number awarded for any one campaign. The Vote Needs U portrayed the country’s most polarizing issues in digital and social content, all driving to a campaign website that encouraged voter registration. The campaign included a custom Google Chrome extension, public relations and a collection of wearables.
Agency clients Constellation Brands, BurgerFi, Friendship Dairies and Less Plastic UK also were awarded at the show.
Partners + Napier’s 25 gold and “best of” winners will continue on to the American Advertising Awards District 2 competition, which showcases the best creative work from New York, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
