A Waterloo woman is facing charges after police say she hit two children hard enough to cause bruises.

Chloe Gibbs, 23, is charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second degree harassment.

The charges stem from an incident that happened in Seneca Falls Thursday evening. Police say they were called for a report of "family problems." After investigating, officers discovered that Gibbs hit a 4-year-old and a 5 year-old, causing bruising.

Gibbs was arraigned and released. She is due in court on April 10. Police also ordered her to stay away from the two children.

Police did not say how Gibbs and the children were related.
