The Rochester Area Federation of Western Round and Square Dance Clubs Inc. will sponsor the 61st annual Dance-O-Rama from 2 to 9:45 p.m. on May 4 at the Perinton Community Center, 1350 Turk Hill Road, Fairport.
Dance-O-Rama features square, round and line dancing led by square dance callers Ron Brown, Mike Callahan, Brad Deibert and Jim Gotta, and cuers Lisa Treichler and Mark Thone.
The Federation sponsors its largest dance in Rochester. Approximately 250 dancers will attend the festival this year. Dance-O-Rama will include traditional basket raffles and a 50-50 drawing.
Eight clubs are located in Greater Rochester: two each in Greece and Webster, and one each in Chili, Henrietta, Penfield and Pittsford. The other 11 Federation clubs are located as far east as Syracuse, west near Buffalo and south near Corning.
Square dance lessons start in September and finish in April. Recent graduates from each club will be recognized at Dance-O-Rama.
Water will be provided. Dancers are encouraged to bring snacks to share. Admission is $12 at the door. Visit squaredancingrochester.org for information.
