Into Silence Mindfulness: 7:15 p.m. April 4. Rebecca Priest, co-creator of Into Silence, will explore the history of meditation benefits of a practice rooted in neuro and cognitive sciences. Group will spend 10-20 minutes practicing mindfulness (or mindlessness) meditation, and review ways to continue individual or small group practices. Registration required.

AARP Smart Driver Program: 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, April 6-13. Participants must attend both sessions and have a valid New York state driver’s license. Bring AARP membership card for a discount. Registration required. $20-$25.
Toddler Time: 10 a.m. April 8. For ages 2-3 with an adult. The program includes stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft.
Tail Waggin’ Tutors: 4 to 5 p.m. April 8. For ages 12 and younger. Children who are learning to read and emerging readers can practice reading out loud with a therapy dog.
Monday Minecraft Madness: 6 p.m. April 8. For all ages. Participants should bring a tablet and their Minecraft knowledge. Some computers will be available.
Preschool Pals: 10 a.m. April 9. For ages 4-5 with an adult. The program includes stories, songs and a craft.

Enjoy Your Local Birds: 7 p.m. April 10. Richard Ashworth from the Rochester Birding Association will discuss a year of birding around Greater Rochester, and examine the special birds of each season. Registration required.

Library opens at 11 a.m.: April 4. The library opens at 11 a.m. on the first Thursdays of the month for staff training.
Sit, Knit and Stitch: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 4. For all experience levels. Participants can bring a personal project to work on while in the company of others who enjoy needlecraft like knitting, stitching and crocheting. Bring snacks and drinks.
Pajama Story Time: 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. April 4. A family program for all ages. The program will include stories, songs, activities and a craft. Pajama wear optional.
First Friday Films: 10 to 11 a.m. April 5. For all ages. The library screens a film and serves popcorn on the first Fridays of the month.

Junior Friends: 4 to 5 p.m. April 9. For ages 9-16. This group of volunteers meets year-round, and helps the library with book sales, programs and decorations, among other fun things.
Graham Cracker Bunny Cottages: 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 9-11. Participants and families will use graham crackers and their imaginations to create and decorate a bunny. Registration required.
Preschool Dance Party: 10 to 10:30 a.m. April 12. For ages 1-5 with a caregiver.

Learn to Crochet: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 13. For ages 18 and older. The class will make a potholder, teaching and building stitching skills gained from previous classes. Bring one skein of cotton yarn. Registration required.
