Victor airman completes basic military training

U.S. Air Force Airman Hunter Hartford, of Victor, recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas.

Hartford completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an Associate in Applied Science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Hartford graduated from Victor Senior High School in 2018.


CNB announces retail promotions

Canandaigua National Bank & Trust recently promoted community office managers Melissa DeSain and Amy Force to bank officers, and Amy Flaitz to assistant vice president. Samantha Johnson, community office manager and VP, moved from the Victor branch to Pittsford.

DeSain came to CNB in 2016, and just transitioned from assistant manager of the Honeoye Falls office to bank officer and manager of Manchester-Shortsville. Force joined the bank as a teller in 1993 and now manages the Honeoye Community Office.

Flaitz took the helm at the Victor branch with this promotion. She formerly worked as a community office manager at the Manchester-Shortsville branch.

Johnson oversees the development and operation of the sales and services team in the office, and works to expand relationships with Pittsford customers and the community.
