Ancestry.com — Getting Started: 2 to 3:30 p.m. on April 4. WPL subscribes to the Library Edition of Ancestry.com. Participants can use this popular database for free from a library computer. Presenter, Barb Koehler, a genealogy specialist at the local history division of the Central Library, will show how to search census, military, immigration, and vital records to discover a family’s story. She will also explain the differences between Ancestry.com and the Ancestry Library Edition. Registration requested.

Alzheimer’s Association Education community education classes are free for caregivers and those who are interested in information about Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Butterflies, Birds, Bees in Your Yard: 11 a.m. to midnight on April 6. Join Master Gardener Ken Harbison to learn about pollinators. Over three-quarters of flowering plants need the assistance of pollinators in order to set seed. How to provide food and habitats for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators will be presented. Life cycles, threats, and overwintering strategies will be included. Members of the Country Gardeners of Webster, Klemwood Garden Club and Ontario Garden Club will be represented at tables in the main part of the library from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Travelogue — Tiptoe through the Tulips — Springtime in Holland: 2 to 3 p.m. on April 9. Enjoy the world famous Keukenhof Gardens in Holland. Walk along the endless beds of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils. Explore the progressive city of Amsterdam, the historic town of Delft, the cheese museum in Alkmaar and the coastal town of Enkhuizen. These Holland highlights and more will be presented by Christine Simons. Light refreshments. No registration needed.
