Chess!: 7 to 8:30 p.m. on April 11. Join the library to learn the ancient art of playing chess. This program is open to anyone age 6 and older — adults without kids are more than welcome — and children younger than12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Family Chopped: 1:30 to 3 p.m. on April 14. Time to put the family’s cooking skills to the test. Inspired by the Food Network show, families will compete to create the tastiest appetizer, entree, and dessert out of the library’s three super-secret ingredients. Registration required per family.
Family Bingo: 2 to 3:30 p.m. on April 16. Bring the family to play bingo and win book prizes.
Making Comics: 2 to 3 p.m. on April 17. Franzie Weldgen teaches art at Monroe County Community College, and he will be here today to show attendees the essentials of making their own comics. Children may attend independently as long as there is an adult in the building. Registration required; ages 7-12.
