Buffalo Business First announced its 2019 Rochester Area School District Rankings, with the Victor district as fifth overall out of 88 districts

VICTOR — The Victor Central School District was ranked fifth overall among 88 school districts in the region in Buffalo Business First's 2019 Rochester Area School District Rankings. Victor was the highest ranked of Ontario County's school districts.

The rankings included 88 public school districts spanning an eight-county Rochester area: Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne and Yates counties.

The rankings published by the Western New York business journal are based on test results from third grade through the senior year of high school. The rankings further break down into categories including cost-effectiveness and administration efficiency, in which Victor was the number one ranked school district of the 88.

Another local leader was the Geneva Central School District, the top ranked district in the diversity category with the highest percentage of racial diversity.

The Canandaigua City School District, ranked 14th overall was the second highest ranked district in Ontario County.
