Police say a 51-year-old man was doing push-ups in the middle of the road in downtown Rochester when he was hit by a car. It happened around 10:00 p.m. Sunday. The man is expected survive. The driver of the car stayed at the scene. No tickets have been issued at this point.

Police say a man was doing push-ups in the middle of the road when he was hit by a car.

It happened on Lyell Avenue near Angle Street around 10:00 p.m. Sunday.

The 51-year-old Rochester man was rushed to Strong Hospital, but is expected to survive.

Part of Lyell Avenue was closed overnight while police investigated. It has since reopened.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene. No tickets have been issued at this point.
