The Hilton Central School District recently appointed Tina Colby, of West Irondequoit, as assistant principal at Village Elementary School.
She replaces Aubrey Krenzer, who accepted a position as director of curriculum and instruction for York CSD. Colby is serving as interim assistant principal and will officially begin her new position on July 1.
Colby has worked as a school counselor for grades K-6 at Village for the past eight years. Prior to joining Hilton CSD, Colby was a prevention educator and crisis counselor in Spencerport CSD for four years.
Colby has a bachelor’s degree in health science with a concentration in alcohol and substance abuse counseling, as well as a master’s degree in school counseling and a certificate of advanced study in educational administration from The College at Brockport. She has a certificate of advanced study in counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University.
“I am proud to continue my career in a district that places emphasis on supporting not just the academic growth of students, but also their social-emotional well-being,” Colby said. “I am honored to serve as the assistant principal and work collaboratively with all staff to provide our students with a truly rigorous and enriching elementary experience.”
