The Brighton Symphony Orchestra will present its Summer Concert in the Park at 6:30 p.m. on July 9 at the Buckland Park Pavilion, 1341 Westfall Road, Rochester. Under the direction of Associate Conductor Jonathan Allentoff, the free concert will showcase vocal soloist Michael DeLuca.
The program features concert selections from “Jurassic Park” and “The Wizard of Oz,” songs from Disney musicals in new arrangements by Allentoff, Aaron Copland’s “Corral Nocturne,” “Fanfare for Freedom” by Paul Barker, Peter Schickele’s “Eine Kleine Nichtmusik” and the “English Folk Song Suite” by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Attendees may bring folding chairs and blankets. In the case of rain, the concert will be held at Brighton Recreation, 220 Idlewood Road, Rochester.
